Course Description

INTRODUCTION

Oil and Gas field operations are complex, equipment is capital intensive, and entails health, safety and environmental risks. The oil and gas field operations include several stages and processes. It starts from the oil exploration stage and extend to include the oil recovery, production and treatment operations.

This 5-day GLOMACS accelerated programme on Oil & Gas Field Operations and Commingled Productions Allocations has been designed to enable delegates to learn more about the state-of-the-art oil & gas field operations, production methods, commingled production process and related facilities. It will also present an overview / fundamental understanding of the wide range of oilfield production handling and treatment equipment. It will also provide the delegates with an overall understanding of the fluid behavior inside the reservoir, through the downhole tubular and the processing facilities. It is exceptionally useful for those who would like to obtain an overview of the oil & gas business, industry components, production technology and different oil and gas recovery methods.

Objectives

By the end of this GLOMACS training programme delegates will be able to:

  • Recognize the latest Game-changing oil & gas field technologies – seismic, well-logging, drilling, horizontal wells, fracking, etc.
  • Comprehend the global oil & gas related statistics
  • Recognize upstream, middle stream and downstream operations and related facilities
  • Distinguish methods and techniques used throughout the Oil & Gas Industry to explore, drill, produce, treat and transport oil, gas and their products
  • Master the field facilities from the reservoir to end users
  • Understand oil & gas field operational problems and troubleshooting
  • Recognise the importance commingled oil & gas production
  • Understand allocation of commingled allocation to reservoirs, fields & platforms
  • Understand the various production and recovery techniques and methods
  • Evaluating oil & gas reserves, artificial lift and enhanced oil recovery techniques
  • Conduct economic evaluation on field development projects and risk analysis

Training Methodology

This GLOMACS accelerated and interactive training programme is designed to encourage delegates’ participation through a combination of group discussion, practical case studies, and an extensive use of short videos highlighting the critical oil & gas operations, environmental and safety considerations to reinforce new knowledge and skills, and discussions of practical issues in their organization.

Organisational Impact

The participants will get the knowledge which allows them to identify the theories behind the practical applications of the Oil & Gas Field Operations and Commingled Productions Allocations. That will help to:

  • Improve the performance at the workplace
  • Enhance the integration between the technical and management team inside the company
  • Apply the latest technologies for oil and gas field operations (Drilling, Production, EOR, Stimulation, Artificial Lift)
  • Integrate between the activities of the upstream, middle stream and downstream operations and related facilities
  • Apply the Interdisciplinary Synergistic approach to understand and solve the oil & gas field operational problems and troubleshooting
  • Apply technique to have commingled oil & gas production and conduct economic evaluation on field development projects

Personal Impact

By the end of this GLOMACS training course, delegates will be able to understand the concepts of the Oil & Gas Field Operations and Commingled Productions Allocations. They will be able to:

  • Use different methods to efficiently operate the oil and gas fields
  • Have the knowledge to evaluate and classify the oil & gas reserves
  • Be familiar with the improved recovery processes, stimulation operations and artificial lift techniques
  • Understand oil & gas field operational problems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Apply several methods to have commingled oil & gas production
  • Apply the economics concepts to select the optimum reservoir development plan
