Managing Hazardous Waste and Preventing Pollution

Dubai, UAE (October 11, 2017) — Delegates attending this GLOMACS course in Dubai learnt how to identify and manage their organisation’s hazardous waste streams, energy use and possible pollution incidents – and how to select cost-effective options to reduce the generation of their hazardous wastes. Delegates were also given practical examples of how to prevent potential pollution incidents from occurring.

During the course, one of GLOMACS ’ Senior Consultants, Dr Michael Wilkinson discussed positive ways to develop methods that could be used to identify, analyse, treat, and safely dispose of hazardous waste. The course covered all the operable hazardous waste and pollution prevention options within the hierarchy of waste management and treatment.

At the end of the course, delegates then worked together to create a powerful ‘Step-by-Step method for Managing Hazardous Waste and Pollution Prevention, before building a visual road map which incorporate all they had learnt, and would take back with them to their organisations.
