Course Description

INTRODUCTION

Projects, by definition, are temporary undertakings that are executed, controlled, and coordinated to achieve specific objectives. As such, one of the most critical elements of any project is the project plan. Without a well-structured and robust project plan, most projects will struggle to achieve their objectives in line with stakeholder expectations.

There is a well-known phrase that says, “Fail to plan and you plan to fail”. This is particularly true in projects, and is largely due to the dynamic environments in which projects exist. Because of this, projects not only need a well-structured and robust plan, but also need to be effectively controlled and monitored throughout their life cycle.

This interactive 5-day Project Planning, Executing, and Performance Monitoring training course will showcase proven project planning methods, and will demonstrate how effective control mechanisms and performance measurement tools can be applied to achieve successful project outcomes.

This GLOMACS training course will highlight:

  • Key project management skills needed to optimise project performance
  • How projects need to be planned to suit the environments they exist in
  • Development of techniques to control project scope, schedule, costs, uncertainty, and quality
  • Definition of key performance indicators, metrics, and reporting mechanisms
