NEGOTIATION – Experience is important but it is not enough on its own!

NEGOTIATION – Experience is important but it is not enough on its own!

The ability to negotiate and manage disputes is regularly cited in research studies as being amongst the skills most valued by managers and professionals in today’s often complex workplace.

“There is little doubt that acquiring practical negotiation experience is helpful”, says Dr. Tom Hutcheson, “however, without the addition of quality negotiation training then individuals rarely manage to achieve their potential as effective negotiators”.

When Glomacs negotiation specialist Dr. Hutcheson leads the Glomacs ‘Negotiation and Conflict Management in Organisations’ seminar, he draws on his twenty-five years of practical negotiation experience as a lawyer, mediator and industry consultant, as well as his academic experience teaching negotiation at one of the top universities in the world.

Over the years, this Glomacs training course has attracted a wide range of participants who have invariably found the experience to be valuable and enlightening. It combines analysis, strategy and practical skill application in a way that appears to resonate with the participants.

“This seminar is a must for every manager and professional. I benefited immensely from it", writes a participant from the training course that took place in Kuala Lumpur in May of this year.

Dr. Hutcheson will next run the training seminar for Glomacs in Dubai between the 30th July and 3rd August 2017.
