Course Description

Introduction

This GLOMACS training course focuses on learning the API 570 piping Inspection Code as well as the student will gain knowledge from API 571, API 572, API 577 ASME Section V, ASME B16.5 and ASME Section IX.

Objectives

The aim of this API 570: Piping Inspection Code (API Exam Preparation) training course is to provide the delegates with knowledge on how to easily pass and obtain the API 570 authorized process piping inspector certification as well as:

  • Identify the various design conditions of piping components, materials, fabrication, assembly, erection, inspection, examination and testing as well as demonstrate nondestructive test methods
  • Employ post weld heat treatment; identify the charpy impact testing, also the working pressure and temperature requirements for pipework flanges
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI) requirements and procedures
  • Carryout welding discontinuities and discuss ASME section IX WPS &WPQ and PQR

Training Methodology

This API 570: Piping Inspection Code (API Exam Preparation) training course will be conducted along workshop principles with formal lectures, videos, and interactive worked examples.  Each learning point will be re-enforced with practical exercises and ample opportunities for discussion and sharing of experiences.
