Introduction

Organizations often fail to stay competitive due to the absence of a Performance Management System (PMS) capable of collecting, analyzing, and reporting comprehensive performance data.

The core principle of management, as stated by Peter Drucker, is that "What cannot be measured cannot be managed, and what cannot be managed cannot be developed."  The purpose of developing an effective PMS is to understand, adjust, and improve business across all departments, enabling organizations to express success in quantifiable terms and achieve institutional leadership (ريادة المؤسسية).

Performance indicators serve a control function, a Developing and Guiding Function (forming the base for strategy implementation), and a Motivation Function (inducing management and stakeholders to fulfill goals). KPIs are the necessary means for Strategy Execution, which was highlighted as a top executive priority in 2006. This workshop utilizes the Balanced Scorecard approach.  The workshop goal is to master the design, selection, measurement, analysis, and corrective decision-making process using KPIs.

This GLOMACS training course will highlight:

  • Integrating performance measures directly into Strategic and Operational Management Systems.
  • How to effectively Link Strategy to Operational Activities to ensure vertical alignment.
  • Comprehensive methods for Developing and Implementing a formal Performance Measurement System.
