Introduction
This GLOMACS PMI-PBA® Exam Preparation training course develops the knowledge and practical judgement needed to analyse business needs, define requirements and evaluate solution value. It follows the five exam domains in the same order as the study manual: Needs Assessment, Planning, Analysis, Traceability and Monitoring, and Evaluation. The PMI Guide to Business Analysis and The Standard for Business Analysis provide the core concepts, processes and techniques.
Each day combines definitions, process connections, practical examples and application exercises with a dedicated exam practice session. Participants distinguish the business analyst’s responsibilities from those of the project manager, select tools for the situation and explain their decisions. Predictive and adaptive approaches are considered throughout. The training course concludes with an integrated review and a personal study plan; a full-length mock examination is assigned for independent practice outside classroom sessions.
This GLOMACS PMI-PBA training course will highlight:
- The five exam domains and their task sequence, linked to the study manual
- Assessing business needs and defining solution scope and value
- Planning analysis work, stakeholder collaboration and requirements governance
- Eliciting, modelling, specifying, verifying and validating requirements
- Maintaining traceability, assessing change and evaluating solution value
Objectives
At the end of this PMI Professional in Business Analysis training course, you will learn to:
- Explain the exam domains and distinguish them from BA knowledge areas and process groups
- Assess business needs, stakeholder values, solution options and feasibility
- Plan analysis work, traceability, change control, documentation and acceptance measures
- Elicit, analyse, specify, verify, validate and obtain approval for requirements
- Monitor requirements, evaluate solution results and reason through exam scenarios
Training Methodology
The PMI Professional in Business Analysis course follows the study manual’s five stages, with one exam domain as the focus of each day. Short explanations introduce key definitions and tools, followed by worked examples, reusable templates and practical exercise. Every day includes a dedicated assessment of five challenging, domain-related questions, followed by discussion of the correct answer, why alternatives are weaker and common exam traps. Questions are drawn from the accompanying practice material and reviewed against the Guide. Day 3 gives particular attention to analysis techniques; later exercises reinforce these skills. A final review addresses exam strategy, and a full-length mock examination is completed independently after the classroom course.
