Course Description

INTRODUCTION

Project delivery is an essential part of a project. It is the process of coordinating the resources and efforts of multiple people in order to complete a project on time, to quality and on budget. Fundamental steps to successful project delivery are planning, executing, and monitoring.

In Planning, the project plan should include a timeline of deliverables, activities, milestones, and a list of required resources. The project manager should ensure that stakeholders are aware of the project plan and understand their respective roles.

Executing the project is when the final requirements, design and work takes place. The project manager must ensure that the resources are available and motivated, when required, the deliverables are built or bought to quality standards and that they are properly tested before they are implemented into the business.

Monitoring is essential to ensure that the project is meeting the desired outcomes. The project manager should regularly review the project plan, in line with changes, risks and issues, distributing progress reports to stakeholders.
